Your results on your Wordpress website

More than 40% of all websites are built using the Wordpress content management system. This could be the case for yours.

In this case, we can provide you with a Wordpress extension to easily put your event rankings online.

Installing the extension

The first step is to install the extension from the Admin part of WordPress. The extension is installed and activated like any other extension. It can be found with the keywords G-live or Wiclax.

Installing the G-Live app

The second step is to install the G-Live app from the extension. The extension itself downloads the files needed to display the rankings on your website and copies them to a directory.

We strongly recommend that you do not change the default installation directory.

Once the G‑Live app is installed, the extension window will indicate it.

Regular updates for G‑Live are made available. To install them, simply click the same Update your server with the latest version of the App button directly from the extension’s administration page.

Settings

The extension’s administration page gives you access to the basic configuration of the G‑Live app.

Some settings are essential before you can get started.

First, you need to enter your Wiclax account username. This is the same username you use to sign in to your account on www.wiclax.com.

In the next step, you need to link the G‑Live app data to a post type. In this example, we will use posts of the Post type. This means that to add the results of a race to your website, you will create a new post.

Creating the post

To set up the results for an event, you now need to create a post. You should then see a G‑Live Data block appear among the post options (in this case, within a post).

This block contains a link to the results of your event, but that link is still under construction. If you click it at this stage, it will open a page indicating only that the race folder has not been defined.

You now need to name, save and publish the post, and this time the message should look like the following.

Publishing results from Wiclax

In the Web publication window, select the Your website with WordPress option. Based on your license and the login you entered in the WordPress extension, this option should display the address of your website.

It is first necessary to enter the FTP account settings for your hosting provider.

You must have FTP access at the root level of your hosting space. Note that some entry‑level hosting plans do not offer this service.

Simply being connected to the root of your hosting space should be sufficient. Wiclax should be able to automatically locate the correct directory.
