Translation

G-Live comes with a default interface that can be displayed in multiple languages, including French, English, and Spanish among other ones. Visitors to the page can easily select their preferred language from the menu at the top right.

You can easily add a new language by following these steps:

  • Create a copy (duplicate) of the lang.en.js file in the Program Files/Wiclax/G-Live/public folder. Rename this copy to lang.xx.js, where xx is the 2-letter code for the new language.

  • Adapt its content to reflect the translated values. Ensure the file is saved with UTF-8 character encoding.

Don't forget to update these G-Live files on your web hosting platform as well, to ensure the new language is available online.

Last but not least, in the application settings of your G-Live online you can choose which language is the default one, i.e. the one loaded for first time visitors.

Direction of the text

For languages written from right to left, the overall display direction can be specified with a dir property like in this example:

Translations["he"]={name:'Hebrew',dir:'ltr',0:'תוצאות', ...
